WTD!™ DUO PRO Whitening Strip

The world’s ONLY at-home teeth whitening system harnessing the true power of professional in-office technology

Includes 14 whitening treatments

Traditional whitening strips use either hydrogen peroxide, PAP or other peroxygen compounds to whiten. At lower concentrations (less than 12%), these whitening strips require extended contact or wear time to be effective.  This is why most home whitening systems require long wear time of 30 minutes to 1 hour, and repeated sessions to truly produce noticeable results.

Instead, our patented WTD! DUO PRO Whitening Strip utilizes a multi-film delivery system to simulate professional in-office whitening, which usually comes in 2 separate components: whitening gel and activation agent.

Similar to in-office whitening systems, WTD! DUO PRO includes a dissolvable film and an undissolvable film. The films’ compositions activate to rapidly accelerate the whitening effects. The first dissolvable film contains activation complex and remineralizers with exciting flavors. It is to be applied first to teeth surfaces, and then it dissolves and interacts with the second application of undissolvable film which includes whitening complex (hydrogen peroxide or PAP).  WTD!’s innovative films chemically activate and unleash active bleaching radicals for much more rapid results.

The Cons of in-office teeth whitening?

The in-office teeth whitening technology involves a system that typically consists of two separate components or formulations used during a professional teeth whitening treatment performed in a dental office.

Here’s an explanation of how this technology works:

  1. Whitening Gel: The first component is a whitening gel containing a peroxide compound, such as hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide, which serves as the active ingredient responsible for the whitening effect.

  2. Activation Agent: The second component is an activation agent or accelerator designed to enhance the effectiveness of the whitening gel by speeding up the release of oxygen molecules from the peroxide compound.

During the in-office treatment, the dentist or dental professional manually mixes and applies the whitening gel and activation agent onto the patient’s teeth.

The interaction between the whitening gel and the activation agent helps to activate and accelerate the whitening process. This is a highly time-consuming and complicated procedure, as it involves pre-cleaning, gingival protection, light curing, mixing, gel applications, gingival protection removal, and post-cleaning:

HP vs PAP

Pros of Hydrogen Peroxide teeth whitening:

  • Strong Whitening Power: Hydrogen peroxide is a potent bleaching agent that can effectively remove stains and discolorations, leading to noticeable teeth whitening results.

  • Fast-Acting: Hydrogen peroxide-based formulas often produce quicker results compared to PAP-based formulas, making them a popular choice for individuals seeking rapid whitening outcomes.

  • Widely Available: Hydrogen peroxide-based teeth whitening products are readily accessible in various forms, including over-the-counter options, making them easily obtainable for consumers.

Cons of Hydrogen Peroxide teeth whitening:

  • Potential Sensitivity: Hydrogen peroxide can cause tooth sensitivity, especially at higher concentrations or with prolonged use. Individuals with sensitive teeth may experience discomfort or pain during and after treatment.

PAP vs HP

Pros of PAP teeth whitening:

  • Effective Whitening: PAP has been clinically proven to provide effective teeth whitening results by breaking down stains and discolorations on the tooth surface.
  • Reduced Sensitivity: PAP is known for its low potential to cause tooth sensitivity compared to hydrogen peroxide, making it a suitable option for individuals with sensitive teeth.
  • Gentler on Gums: PAP-based formulas are generally considered to be less likely to cause gum irritation or inflammation compared to hydrogen peroxide-based formulas.

Cons of PAP teeth whitening:

  • Limited Availability: PAP-based teeth whitening formulas may not be as widely available as hydrogen peroxide-based formulas, as hydrogen peroxide has been the more commonly used active ingredient in commercial whitening products.
  • Potentially Slower Results: While effective, PAP-based formulas may require longer treatment durations or repeated applications to achieve desired whitening results compared to hydrogen peroxide-based formulas.

Benefits

  • Superior Teeth Whitening Performance – You’ll start to see a whiter smile after 3 days with full results in 14 days or less. When applied to your teeth, each strip tightly adheres to the tooth surface and allows active ingredient PAP to be in contact with the tooth’s structure to provide effective teeth whitening , as well as reducing pre-existing sensitivity.

  • Long-Lasting Antibacterial – PAP and menthol are both powerful antibacterial agents.

  • Anti-Plaque – Sodium Tripolyphospate has been clinically proven to reduce & prevent plaque formation.

  • No Discomfort or Sensitivity – As the key whitening ingredient in our Teeth Whitening Strips, PAP is scientifically proven to be a safe alternative to peroxide. It has no negative side effects which allows it to be used more frequently than peroxide-based whitening strips, and can effectively whiten teeth without any pain or sensitivity.
